On August 19, 2025, Hoa Phat commenced construction of a worker housing and social housing project at Yen My II Industrial Park, Hung Yen Province. Covering 31 hectares, the project will include 27 apartment buildings with approximately 9,000 units, 250 commercial townhouses, along with a system of utilities and social infrastructure. It will provide accommodation for workers at Yen My II Industrial Park, other industrial parks across Hung Yen Province, as well as local residents.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen Province, together with delegates and Hoa Phat’s leadership, pressed the button to launch the groundbreaking ceremony.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee and People’s Council; and representatives of provincial departments and agencies in Hung Yen Province. The project is located in Yen My Commune, adjacent to Yen My II Industrial Park, bordering National Highway 39A and Provincial Road DT.200, and just 6 km from National Highway 5A. It is also 4 km from the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway interchange, providing convenient access to Hai Phong Port and major economic hubs in Northern Vietnam. The site is 30 km from downtown Hanoi and 25 km from Gia Binh International Airport. According to the master plan, the project will feature 27 apartment buildings of up to 11 floors, with a total construction floor area of nearly 580,000 m². Apartments range from 36 to 70 m² with layouts from one to three bedrooms. The commercial townhouse zone, with a maximum height of five floors, will cover more than 2.3 hectares. Approximately 1.9 hectares will be dedicated to a central park with children’s playgrounds, jogging tracks, a square, sports areas, camping and BBQ sites, and a lake. Pedestrian streets will run along low-rise blocks, while each apartment cluster will be equipped with shared community spaces such as a public library, playgrounds, walking paths, and utility services. Social infrastructure will include a cultural house (over 2,000 m²), healthcare facilities (nearly 6,000 m²), schools (11,200 m²), and a commercial-service area (over 4,500 m²). Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized: “The worker housing and social housing project at Yen My II Industrial Park marks an important milestone in the province’s development. It demonstrates the joint efforts of the government, enterprises, and citizens to improve workers’ welfare. The project will provide stable, well-equipped housing, enabling workers to settle down, enhance productivity, and directly contribute to economic growth.
